Pennut tulevat aktiivisimmiksi joka päivä. Ja myös äänekkäämmiksi jos asiat eivät suju kuin ne haluavat. Pennut myös leikkivät enemmän keskenään ja myös leluilla joita olemme laatikkoon laittaneet. Varsinkin croco on suosittu.

Viime yönä heräsin noin klo 3:20 aikoihin pentujen valitukseen ja ääntelyyn..tais siis kahden pennun ääntelyyn.. Tyttä ja ruskea poika olivat kiivenneet pentulaatikosta ulos ja etsivät äitiään koska heillä oli nälkä!! Se ihmetyttää kuinka vahvoja ja ketteriä pennut voivat olla, vaikka niiden kävely ei vielä olekaan täydellistä. Laatikon reuna on 30cm korkea ja silti jopa pienimmät pystyvät kiipeämään sen ylitse ja ihmeen nopeasti vielä. Ehkä sitä tarvii rakentaa korotukset laidoille tai muuten viikon sisällä yksikään pentu ei pysy laatikossa.

Ei taida kestää kauaa kunnes Nipsu alkaa saamaan tarpeekseen pentujen ruokkimisesta sillä isoimmilla pojilla on jo ensimmäiset hampaat puhjenneet. Mari onkin jo antanut pennuille pieniä maistiaisia kiinteästä ruuasta ja kaikki ovat syöneet sen mitä heille on annettu, joten toivomme ettei pentujen vieroitus maidosta kiinteään ruokaan tule olemaan ongelma -- ehkä aloitetaan vieroitus ensi viikolla.

Tänään pennut ovat taas olleet keskenään äitinsä kanssa joten odotan innolla mitä he ovat tänään oppineet kunhan pääsen töistä kotiin.

Puppies are getting more and more active every day. And noisier too if the things are not going the way they want! They've also started to play more with each other and with toys we've put in the box. Especially the croc is popular.

Last night around 3:20 am I was woke up by the whining of the puppies..well two puppies.. The girl and the brown boy had climbed over the wall of the puppy box to look for their mother as they were hungry!! It amazes me how strong and agile puppies can be although their walking is not yet perfect. The wooden wall is 30cm high and still even the smallest ones can climb it over and amazingly fast to be honest. Maybe I need to build extensions to the wall as otherwise withing a week none of them stays in the box!

It's not going to take too long when Nipsu is getting enough of feeding the little ones as the first teeth have already erupted with big boys. Mari has already started to give them small taste of solid food and all of them has eaten what they have been given so we hope it's not gonna be a problem to wean the puppies from milk to solid food -- maybe starting the weaning next week.

Today they have again been alone with their mother so I'm looking forward to see what they have learned today when I'm heading home from work.
